What to tell your team before a headshot day

The single biggest difference between a smooth headshot day and a stressful one is planning. We think we've nailed the perfect workflow from single model shoots to multi-day spanning marathons, with dozens if not hundreds of heads. Send this round a week before so your team knows what to expect.

Location

We will arrange beforehand what room and building we will set up in. We always come to you.

What to wear

Solid colours photograph better than patterns. Mid-tones sit well against both our light and dark backgrounds. Bring a second layer if you would like options. The usual decisions on the day are "with tie, without tie" but we can accommodate outfot changes on the flexible tier bookings.

Glasses

If you wear them, keep them on. We light for glasses as standard so we would rather photograph you as colleagues recognise you.

How long it takes

We would say approximately five to ten minutes per person on a rolling schedule for a standard team or department. Of course this also depends on your choice of package. A bespoke exec session, including hair and makeup, might take a couple of hours to complete if clothing changes are required. We will talk through these kind of variables to make sure eveyone is on the same page before shoot day.

Do I get to choose my pictures?

Absolutely, we always shoot "tethered". That means the output of the camera shows on a large screen. You get to see exactly what photos are taken and you can make you choice, or choices, there and then. If your day is jam packed and don't have time to review with us, we can make the decision for you and send through fully edited finals.
